Display over other apps

If a memo cannot float, choose Start Floating. When Android opens the display-over-other-apps settings, allow the permission for FMX, return to FMX, and try again. The wording and location of this setting can vary by Android version and phone maker.

Active memos, Single, and Rotate

The Active switches control which saved memos are available for floating. Selecting a memo for editing is separate from making it Active.

• Single active memo requires exactly one Active memo.
• Rotate active memos can use one or more Active memos and changes them at the interval you set.

Start and stop floating

Create or select a memo, set the Active switches and display behaviour, then choose Start Floating. A visible Android notification appears while the foreground service is active.

To finish, return to FMX and choose Stop Floating. The memo overlay and foreground-service notification should be removed. If Android has interrupted the app, reopen FMX and check the displayed status.

Touch-through and custom position

During normal floating, taps pass through the memo to the launcher or app underneath. Edit Position temporarily makes only the memo window draggable. Choose Done or Cancel to return to touch-through mode.

Speech input

Speech-to-write requires a compatible Android or device speech-recognition provider. If recognition is unavailable, type the memo instead. FMX does not request persistent audio-recording permission, but the selected provider may have its own network and privacy behaviour.

Before clearing data or uninstalling

Clearing FMX app data or uninstalling FMX may remove saved memos and settings. FMX requests exclusion of app data from Android cloud backup, and PITIP does not provide cloud memo recovery. Device-to-device migration behaviour can vary by Android version and manufacturer.

Future direct APK installation

Direct checkout and download are not live yet

When direct sales launch, the intended process will provide a signed Android APK after verified payment. Android may ask the purchaser to allow installation from the browser or file manager used for the download. Exact screens and wording vary by device. The future flow will show version, file size, checksum, publisher identity, and clear installation instructions before download.
